Graphic Design Intern | Lucky Plush Productions

MacArthur Award-winning Lucky Plush Productions is an internationally touring dance-theater company that provokes, inspires, and entertains audiences through its layered choreography, surprising humor, and socially relevant storytelling. Since 2000, Lucky Plush has created 30 original dance-theater works including 14 evening-length productions. In addition to regularly performing in Chicago, the company has presented work in over 40 US cities from Maine to Hawaii, and its international partners span from New Zealand to Cuba.


Lucky Plush seeks a graphic design intern to create original, engaging digital and print materials for various projects.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Designing print materials for upcoming performances, including postcards, programs, and posters

  • Creating original logos and typefaces for Lucky Plush events and performances

  • Creating social media-friendly banners and cover photos

  • Updating web design of company website,

  • Combining individual artist prowess and vision with Lucky Plush’s creative voice

Skills & Qualifications: 


  • Proficiency in photo editing and publishing software

  • Basic understanding of web design/HTML

  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work in order of importance

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Portfolio of relevant work samples


Intern will perform work duties at Lucky Plush’s office space located at the Harris Theater. Intern will be mentored by Lucky Plush’s Managing Director and Volunteer Cultivation Lab Fellow.
