Graphic Design Intern

Q1 Productions, a leader in the development of educational conference programs targeting executives in the life sciences industry is currently recruiting a graphic design intern to join the growing production & marketing team based out of the Chicago River North office headquarters. This paid internship will provide a student or recent graduate with an open-ended opportunity to experience work in a corporate environment, working on a variety of projects as time permits, as directed by the head graphic designer. Day-to-day duties would include working with production and marketing teams to update print agendas with sponsor logos, designing print signage, formatting text and designing graphics to support marketing & sales efforts and is a dynamic position with changing responsibilities to ensure a wide learning opportunity.



·         Extensive skill & knowledge of Mac operating system & relevant Adobe software suite (Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop is a must. CS5 or newer)

·         Working knowledge of HMTL, CSS and Wordpress is a plus, but not required

·         Impeccable attention to detail, visual layout and content organization

·         Strong communication, time management & organizational skills

·         Project management skills, handling multiple projects simultaneously

·         Ability to prioritize work and carry projects through to completion

·         Self-motivated, proactive & capable of working independently

·         Provide samples of previous work to demonstrate knowledge & skill



·         Design clear & engaging print & web documents

o    Conference program agendas/brochures

o    Logos, icons & infographic pieces

o    Web banners & advertisements

·         Prepare documents for print

·         Brainstorm concepts for new events and markets

·         Work closely with senior designer to bring effective visual ideas from concept through to completion
