Classroom Volunteer | International Museum of Surgical Science

The International Museum of Surgical Science is seeking volunteers this winter to help facilitate our upcoming winter Saturday camp!

The Museum is proud to announce our Saturday Science Camp, Powered and Pumped Up, a program designed for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, focused on solar power and NASA's plan to send humans to Mars in the 2030's. This program, sponsored by NASA, is a part of a series of NASA educational Out-of-School-Time programming hosted at the IMSS.

Volunteers are needed to help manage a classroom of 20-30 students and aide with the science activities, led by the lead Museum educator. These one-day sessions are scheduled every Saturday from December 30, 2017 to March 3, 2018, running from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with a break for lunch. Volunteer shifts are 8:30am - 12:30pm and 12:30pm - 4:30pm, with lunch provided. Volunteers are welcome to work two consecutive shifts and multiple Saturday's.
