Winter/Spring Internships at CST—Apply Now!

Regional Theatre Tony Award® recipient Chicago Shakespeare Theater is seeking highly qualified interns for a commitment between January and May, 2018. CST interns gain substantive experience and invaluable insights in their respective departments while building professional relationships in the Chicago theater community. Current post-secondary students, college graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply. CST is committed to building diversity and inclusion onstage and throughout the organization. We especially encourage applicants from underrepresented groups.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director Barbara Gaines and Executive Director Criss Henderson, Chicago Shakespeare is dedicated to producing extraordinary classic productions, new works, and family fare; unlocking Shakespeare's work for educators and students; and serving as the city's premier international ambassador through its World's Stage Series, bringing the world's best theater to Chicago.

The deadline to apply for winter/spring internships is November 1, 2017,with the exception of the Short Shakespeare! A Midsummer Night’s Dream Stage Management Internship, due October 15, 2017 and the Macbeth Stage Management Internship, due January 1, 2018.

Arts Administration Internships:
Arts Administration interns work closely on the development and execution of efforts to support the Theater's artistic and education programming, which gaining a deep understanding of the "behind-the-scenes" workings of a large cultural organization. View individual internship listings:

Production Internships
Production interns work directly on the build, install, or coordination of upcoming productions and gain experience with professional equipment and practices, while receiving one-on-one mentoring with industry professionals. View individual internship listings:
