Assistant Dance Director

Viking Gymnastics & Dance currently has an opening for a full time Dance Program Assistant Director. This position entails working with both children and adults in a fun, friendly environment! This role will require both teaching and administrative responsibilities, including assisting in the development, long-term strategic planning, and implementation with a strong focus on ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, jazz and aerial dance. You will work directly with other Program Managers collaborating on cross-curricular programming and promotion. You will be responsible for curriculum development, scheduling, classroom instruction, choreography, presentations, and the management of the dance facility. Evening and weekend work will be required.

Qualified candidates should:

  • Be experienced in developing choreography
  • Be experienced in producing and executing all aspects of a recital
  • Have professional experience with a strong knowledge of trends and practices of dance education and policies
  • Have a dance degree or equivalent work experience
