JCC Camp Chi, the Midwest's premier Jewish overnight camp for boys and girls ages 8-16, is looking for an experienced performing arts instructor/director. We hire staff to teach drama, music, and dance each summer. Our drama specialist should have experience working with children and teaching a wide variety of drama and theater skills. Some of the skills you would be working with children on include blocking, learning the different parts of the stage, projection, memorization, and characterization. The drama specialist will also work with the rest of the performing arts department on larger projects such as all camp plays, musicals, cabarets, and more. We are looking for someone who loves theater and can help us bring a quality program to Camp Chi.
Qualifications and Application Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

We are looking for someone who can bring our art program to a new level and introduce fun, creative, new projects and activities. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and a college graduate or equivalent. Professional performing arts educator preferred. Applicants should have experience working with children and supervising staff along with having significant previous experience in a camp setting or similar environment.
