Gain new professional media relation’s skills in 2009!

Join media experts Thom Clark and Gordon Mayer from the Community Media Workshop in their once a year workshop Professional Media Relations.

Participants in this intensive five Friday half-day training designed specifically for nonprofit communicators plan media campaigns around one of their own stories, while learning basic public relations skills. Participants in the course also get the opportunity to develop a story and pitch it to journalists. The course includes one copy per organizations of Spin Works, the nonprofit PR handbook, and one copy of Getting on the Air, Online & into Print 2009, our indispensible directory of area media contacts plus many valuable handouts.

This workshop will take place from 9am - 12pm over five Fridays: 1/23/09, 1/30/09, 2/6/09, 2/13/09, and 2/20/09.
