Overview: Nonprofits can benefit greatly by working with consultants, especially when they are privy to the insights provided by this panel of experts. Participants will learn the intricacies of finding and hiring consultants; articulating respective responsibilities; balancing important and sometimes complex relationships; and, managing financial considerations.
Who should attend: Nonprofit Executive Directors and others in organizations who hire and work with consultants. This is a "must attend" workshop for anyone who works with consultants or plans to in the future.
About the Association of Consultants to Nonprofits (ACN): The Association of Consultants to Nonprofits (ACN) is a community of colleagues that promotes best practice consulting. We link our members with nonprofit organizations for mutual success.
ACN has more than 100 members, consultants representing nearly every field of service utilized by nonprofit organizations including administration and management, board development, development and fundraising, facilities, finance, human resources, information systems, legal services, marketing and public relations, organizational development, program, and public policy.
Leaders of nonprofits can search the ACN website (www.acnconsult.org), by practice area or by consultants’ names, to view their profiles. In addition, “Requests for Consultants” can be posted and distributed to all ACN members by clicking on the link on the ACN homepage and filling in the request form.
