Opening Reception: March 7th 2019, 5:30-8pm
Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is pleased to present a solo exhibition of installation works by Kara Cobb Johnson. The exhibition Mama’s Hand activates the expansive industrial co-working spaces with playful visual fields of airy watercolor pyramids, expanded disc landscapes, and pastel daylight window arrows. Kara uses collaboratively folded paper airplanes, hand-cut transparent vinyl, and inkjet watercolor decals alongside source inspiration works that highlight five years of experimental play. Experience new perspectives, enhanced perception, and the possibilities inherent only when creating with ones’ own hands.
This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
