Unprecedented Order: napkin Poetry's September reading series and open mic event
The world can be a strange and perplexing place. We make systems of belief to keep everything in order. We make connections. We subscribe to (or scoff at) horoscopes, tarot cards, and palm readings. We wonder. We shake the Magic 8 ball, look for answers elsewhere. We find bits of language, not ours. We take them take as mantras. We read. We recite. We recant.
Bring in poems about order or disorder. Bring poems about lost faith and messy drawers, bring poems about rituals, bring poems that are rituals, bring poems that distort rituals, bring poems that explain it all, or fail to do so.
