● bria royal is a black bori from the west side of Chicago whose brain is hardwired in such a way that necessitates art and visual aesthetics as a mode for making meaning out of the world around her. She considers her paintings, comics, and animations to be the result of a radical healing process that she hopes others will benefit from seeing unfold, and an attempt to construct intersectionally black and indigenous mythologies for ourselves and our future liberated descendants.
