Join Chicago artists and creatives to get those 2017 projects started. Pick a project and do it every day for the month of January. It’s that simple! CHIPRC will host workdays during their Open Hours Sundays January 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 3-5pm! Bring your work and materials, use what we have on hand, meet others and share your work-in-progress. All ages and skill levels welcome. Donations to the space are kindly accepted.
To celebrate all the work created in January, we will plan a Fun-A-Day exhibition at CHIPRC the weekend of February 17-19 with an opening reception on Friday the 17th. The exhibition will include work created during CHIPRC Fun-A-Day Workdays, and anyone else who would like to show their projects. Find event postings at facebook.com/funadaychicago.
Fun-A-Day is a free, all-ages, unjuried art process and show designed to inspire creativity and community during the winter. You choose a project or series of projects to work on every day during the month of January. At the end of the month there will be an art show where we can exhibit all of our projects, finished or not! The idea is the product of Artclash Collective, a Philadelphia-based group of artists who organize art projects and shows that aim to be fun, inclusive and participatory. Read more about the origin of Fun-A-Day at artclash.com.
