Artist Michael Genovese will transplant his studio in the pedway of the
Chicago Cultural Center (May 1st -June 30th, 2008) as a second phase of his on-site interactive project realized at the Museum of
Contemporary Art Chicago earlier this year. Chicagoans in transit are invited into an artists' studio that welcomes interaction, collaboration, and contemplation. The general public is encouraged to partake in the process by carving their hopes and aspirations, complaints, or confessions onto designated plates of aluminum. The project intends to record a range of perspectives and culture native to Chicago through an art making practice. The collection of work will be exhibited in art galleries and institutions in various regions of the country, showing the unique and dynamic personality of Chicagoans and it's visitors. more...

Classes start at 7pm. This is a great form of exercise and artistic expression for all ages and sizes. We ask that you wear loose clothing and yes we are barefoot. Both artists explore the effects of color in the experience of architecture as photographic documentation. Gower creates an installation based on Luis Barragan’s home, using a large red wall and a graphic black-and-white picture. Schulz uses digital tools to transform generic industrial buildings into otherworldly, often colorful images.

Internationally recognized and recently awarded a Skowhegan Award for video, Lucier has been evolving the video art form for over thirty years. Her Polaroid Projection Series (1969–74), a landmark piece of early projected image, will be open in the Sensory Overload exhibition. Lucier will also show clips from her film Brise du Soleil, which she shot in Windhover Hall while she was a visiting professor at UW–Milwaukee. Listen to a presentation on the SBA Express Loan program and then apply for your loan.

All you need:
• Documentation verifying the existence of your business entity

• Social security number or federal tax ID number
• Valid driver’s license or state ID
• Secondary identification (utility bill, bank or mortgage statement)
• Good credit standing

.This is a tribal fusion class that will build upon your basic belly dance knowledge, both cabaret and tribal, & express this vocabulary through rock and gothic influenced music. Concentrating on posture, we will explore arm movement, shimmies, undulations, locks and other Oriental dance techniques. A focus on expression, composure, and all around 'bad girl attitude' will be incorporated into slow movements, appearing to be "swimming through honey".
