| Elements Contemporary Ballet Summer Workshop | Event Type: WorkshopSaturday, August 9, 2008 - 10:00am - Saturday, August 9, 2008 - 5:00pm Elements Contemporary Ballet Summer Workshop introduces the ballet dancer to ECB's style, methods, and choreography. Participants study contemporary ballet technique with Artistic Director Mike Gosney, receiving personal coaching designed to expand the dancer's range of movement while developing their ability to make independent artistic choices. Workshop students will also have the opportunity to work in a professional rehearsal setting with the critically acclaimed ECB dancers, inspiring the creation of new choreography through guided improvisation, as well as learning excerpts from the company's original repertoire. The classes culminate in an informal performance in which the students demonstrate the learned material for a guest audience. Friends and family are invited and encouraged to attend the performance.
