Aaron Davis Hall has theatres, black boxes, and studios as well as spaces suitable for art installations.

Backroom, second floor, and main hall spaces rent for day rates ranging from $15 to $35 per hour. Evening rates are for a block of time from 6pm to 4pm, and vary depending on the night of the week. The Circle at the American Indian Community House is a versatile 1500 square foot space used for performances, readings, workshops, classes, lectures, and social gatherings. There are four entrances to the space with a portable stage which allows for various configurations.

If you are interested in presenting work in one of Chashama's theaters, galleries or windows please submit a detailed proposal. The preferred submission is by email, programming@chashama.org. At this time we are not offering an open application for Performance AREA Awards.

Since 1995, chashama has taken advantage of large storefront windows that have been features of many of its properties; and used them to stage performances and present visual installations as expressions of public art. Tourists, residents and passersby view live performance and visual art displays from the streets and sidewalks.
