Art Encounter offers periodic training programs in our interactive discussion approach. Individuals who complete the program and are comfortable with our method may be selected to lead Art Encounter programs in schools, community centers and senior citizen residences. Art Encounter brings artists together through monthly critique sessions and special workshops. Art Encounter employs artists to lead our programs in schools, senior citizen centers and community centers and to teach skills classes for children and adults. We also bring groups to artists’ studios. |

These grants provide support for artists residencies in schools and communities statewide. Residencies last from one to six months. Primary and secondary educational institutions, community colleges, and local community organizations are eligible to apply, as well as four-year colleges and universities if the residency invovles local K-12 student population. |
