NationalDance Professionals Workshop participants are invited to choose one of the available weeks to attend the Festival. Participants will design their course schedules from the Six Week School curriculum. They can take classes, observe faculty and students from around the globe, view performances, and meet informally with faculty and members of the ADF community. This uniquely designed program directed by Ursula Payne allows participants to personalize their ADF experience according to their professional needs and interests. It is important to note that SWS classes are accumulative in nature and faculty may choose to build upon the previous weeks’ classes. Participants should be aware that the ADF observes the Fourth of July holiday and the class schedule for that day may be altered. Participants must check in by noon on the Sunday of their selected week.

Empowering “If,” A Conversation on the Next Twenty
Dates: Saturday, June 19th, 1 – 5 pm
Sunday, June 20th, 9 – 1 pm
Facilitator: Glenna Batson, HU/ADF MFA faculty
If you are a dancer sensing an eclipse to your current status quo or feeling a personal or professional narrowing of your spheres of influence, this conversation may be for you. In this two-day gathering, dancers will address essential questions on sustainability in work and life over the next twenty years. What fragmented threads can be (re)woven into endurable patterns of connectedness? What tools can sharpen blurred edges of embodied knowledge? Through movement exploration, focused small group discussion along lines of interest, and large group dialogue, we'll share our visions and our collective wisdom on the through lines to sustainable enmeshment and empowerment. Any way you dive in, prepare to inform and be inspired!
