NYIBC, a competition for dancers between the ages of 17 and 24, is held every two years at Lincoln Center in New York City. Its purpose is to identify promising young dancers, enhance their professional education, provide them with career opportunities that would be difficult to achieve otherwise.

The Benois De La Danse Prize was founded by the International Dance Association in Moscow in 1991. The moment this initiative was created, it received immediate recognition from experts. Among those serving on the first jury were legendary ballet personalities such as Galina Ulanova, Yuri Grigorovich, Yvette Chauvire, Rudolf Nureyev, amongst others.

USA Dance is a member of the International DanceSport Federation (IDSF) and is also recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the National Governing Body for DanceSport. United States National titles and the opportunity to represent the United States at the IDSF World Championships are awarded at the annual USA Dance National DanceSport Championships.
