Chicago’s Chinese Fine Arts Society is looking for a new part time Managing Director.
The Managing Director's primary role is to lead the management and growth of the Chinese Fine Arts Society (CFAS). The Managing Director is responsible for financial planning, development, marketing, and general operations, working closely with the Board of Directors; he or she is also CFAS's liaison to the Chicago classical music, nonprofit, funding and arts education communities. He or she actively pursues growth opportunities and is the leader of the strategic planning process. This is a part-time position requiring occasional evening meetings and weekend work. Founded by Barbara Tiao in 1984, the Chinese Fine Arts Society (CFAS) is dedicated to promoting the understanding of Chinese culture through music and other fine arts.. For 25 years, we have been the leading champion of Chinese music in Chicago – from traditional to contemporary. Our programs have increased and enhanced the canon of Chinese classical music and arts, inspiring both young musicians and professionals to explore and expand their experience past traditional art forms, simultaneously enriching their awareness of China’s cultural heritage, both old and new.
