The Galaxie is proud to be able to host 2 weekends of workshops including classes by some of Chicago's foremost instructors in Lindy Hop: America's National Folk Dance (as stated in Life Magazine august of 1943) Both weekend workshops will include the basic ground work of moving from Swing (aka 6 count, East Coast, Jitterbug) to the more intricate and more rhythmic and expressive form know as Lindy Hop. The workshops are progressive, Lindy 101 covering the ground floor basics, and Lindy 210 focusing on more details and variations on the forms.
