Arrowmont: an american craft school in jeopardy

surprise, surprise yet another art institution is in jeopardy of being lost.
arrowmont is a fantastic little craft school in tenn. with amazing facilities, an awesome residency program, and an internationally renowned staff (and it's been around for over a hundred years).
they just found out this week that the land that they are leased (from the pi beta phi fraternity) is in negotiations to be sold and built into some sort of amusement park!
if the deal goes through, arrowmont will be promised a mere nine million dollar settlement to relocate and run the school. which is barely even enough to build a decent wood studio let alone an entire school.
there is an online petition to stop this from happening. there are already over 3,000 signatures. please sign and pass it on:
