Four Fabulous Master Classes with Ricochet!
Aloft Loft:
Expand your aerial vocabulary

Ricochet is kind and awesome enough to share their uniquely developed skills with us over the two days they will be here! Workshops will be $50 each, or take all four for $180! Send us an email to sign up.

Saturday, August 30th
Aerial Fabric: for students with some experience.
12-1:30
We will focus on precision and technique as the way to create more ease, grace and space for personal expressivity. Through the use of spinal propulsion, momentum and economic movement, students will learn how to work with gravity rather than against it.  New vocabulary will be taught, as well as exercises that build the foundation of this European inspired technique.

Static Trapeze: for students with some experience on the trapeze. 2-3:30
Transcending traditional ideas of technique and exploring thematic and emotionally driven movement through improvisation and character based exercises.  Focusing on the extremities of subtlety, gesture, and acute articulation, this is a great way to start thinking in new ways about aerial work.

Sunday, August 31st
Functional Flexibility: all levels 10:30-12
Flexibility heightens the aesthetic of performance, increases movement options, and greatly supports injury prevention.  Drawing on information from classical yoga, contemporary therapeutic practices and traditional contortion training this class offers a holistic and internally centered approach to increasing flexibility while simultaneously strengthening the joints.  Ideal for aerialists and movement artists!

Rope: for students with some rope or fabric experience. 2-3:30
Research and developments influenced from traditional Indian rope training (mallakhamb). This workshop will explore basic principles of mallakhamb, combined with various climbing techniques and unusual combinations inspired through this ancient form. Get your toes ready!
