Luna Negra Dance Theater celebrates the opening of its 10th Anniversary with an exceptional line up of works by contemporary Latino choreographers.
The program features the Chicago Premiere of There is a Time, a masterwork by José Limón, one of the most prominent American choreographers (of Latino origin) in modern dance; the world premiere of deshár alhát (Leave Sunday) with live music by Stefani Valadez, a ground-breaking work by Eduardo Vilaro exploring the mesmerizing music of the Latino tradition; and a new work by emerging Mexican choreographer Francisco Aviña in collaboration with Stephanie Martinez.
