Butoh Ritual Mexicano workshop with Diego Pinon

Pinon’s unique style of teaching incorporates more than 25 years research in Mexican energetic traditions, Japanese Butoh, ritual dance, modern dance and contemporary theatre. He has developed techniques that stimulate, expand and recapture the body’s energy through the senses. His ingenious group exercises engage perception, imagination and creativity to support the expression of each individual’s experiences through dance. Butoh Ritual Mexicano Dance is both emotionally intense and physically challenging. The body is used to awaken greater sensitivity and vital energy in order to transform beyond limitations we normally perceive. This boundless experience reinvigorates the body’s capacity to be, to feel, and to dance.
