Thursday, July 10, 12:15pm
Claudia Cassidy Theater

For the latter part of the 20th century, the idea of a more bikeable America seemed quixotic. But forces large and small are merging to alter these prospects. Bike friendliness is an idea whose time has come. Educator and author J. Harry Wray explores these ideas and presents information from his book, Pedal Power: The Quiet Rise of the Bicycle in American Public Life. Mr. Wray is a professor of political science at DePaul University, where he teaches a course on Biking and Politics. Copies of his book will be available for sale and to be signed before and after the lecture.
