Whether
you are a documentarian, a painter, a sculptor, a culinary artist, a
poet, a performance artist, or a musician--please join us for a Soup
Soapbox that features your work, your opinions, and brief presentations
of your artwork. Rethinking Soup is a community conversation series on
issues of food and justice that happens every Tuesday at lunch over a
free, hot meal of soup and bread. Every third Tuesday of the month, we
invite anyone from the community to take the stage for two
kitchen-timered minutes each to share their thoughts and dreams for the
future of food. This month's Soup Soapbox focuses on the work of local
artists. We invite you to bring in a slide, a draft, or a finished
piece of art to share with the audience that is related to issues of
food, broadly defined: from consumption, to labor, to packaging, to
nutrition, to agriculture. If you are not an artist with a body of
related work, click the link below for inspiration, and play a song on
your carrot-flute at the Soapbox!
