Contact Improvisation Class & Jam with Julia Rae Antonick

Cost: $10 for class and jam, $5 for jam only
This workshop begins with exercises introducing Contact Improvisation skills on where weight can be safely shared and shifted on the body and progresses into connected, synchronized dancing. During class from 7:00 - 8:15pm, we will work on a handful of fundamentals including weight bearing and transfer, flying, counter balance, the small dance, partner work and much more. From 8:00pm-10:00 pm we open the floor up for a movement jam where these skills can be utilized through motion in a safe and open environment. This workshop will happen the first Saturday of each month at Edgewater.
