The Ruth Page Foundation houses this performing arts center and modern dance venue, and operates a school of dance that offers ongoing classes to the public and studio rental plans. Offers open technique classes, workshops and master classes by local and guest dance artists.
Provides working artists and students of the arts with classes and other opportunities to inspire, and become inspired by, varied forms of expression. Andersonville-based center for jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, and other dance forms. The results of Linkages, a performance rental program for self-producing artists, are promoted as co-presentations by the artist and Links Hall. Also provides workshops in performance arts/dance. Established in 1974, Conte offers workshops and classes to adults and teens in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, African, and hip-hop, from beginner to professional. Offers classes emphasizing ethnic and folk styles, including Flamenco, Hula, West African, Irish Step, Clogging, Ballroom and Swing. Selected National/International Links
The Harkness Dance Center has been affiliated with dance pioneers such as Alvin Ailey, Pearl Primus, Martha Graham, and Doris Humphrey. Located in New York City, the 92nd Street Y offers an array of dance classes and workshops for children and adults. One of Europe's biggest contemporary dance festivals, drawing thousands of professional dancers, choreographers and teachers from all over the world. A prestigious faculty trains over 3,000 students annually in the full-time Professional and Junior Division Programs for aspiring dance students, and Ailey Extension classes for the general public. Body-Mind Centering is based on the embodiment and application of anatomical, physiological, psychophysical and developmental principles, utilizing movement, touch, voice and mind.
