Bucktown Gallery is currently accepting proposals for new and innovative workshops to be run by qualified educators, working artists, and craftsmen
Our mission at Bucktown Gallery is to curate an engaging and unique calendar of workshops that effectively involves the larger whole of the Chicago community in the arts. Workshops that illustrate various skill levels (that benefit either the working artist, newer students of art, or both) are all welcome. We hope to offer a diverse array of classes that encourage creative minds to come together and work in a stimulating and fun community setting. We are looking for a broad range of subject matter, including, but not limited to: writing workshops, comedy and performance workshops, fine arts instruction, photography, and crafting.
Please include in your proposal:
-The overall subject matter and goal for your workshop, including supplies, and images (if applicable)
-A general overview of the audience you are trying to reach with your workshop
-Your experience with teaching and mentoring
-Any relevant information from your personal artistic practice and how it can benefit students
-How your skill set and experience can benefit students. Specifically, how your teaching style and subject matter enhance and contribute to the overall goal's of Bucktown Gallery's educational program.
-A current CV outlining your work as an educator or artist
