Musicality- The Interplay Between Music and the Visual Arts

The Art Center- HIghland Park (TAC) is looking for art influenced and/or inspired by music. Throughout art history, there has been a strong relationship between music and visual art, from the literal imagery of musicians, instruments, notes, and lyrics to the reflection of tone and lyrical use of color. The role of art also weaves throughout music from album covers to music videos. How does the interplay between music and the visual arts inspire creativity and impact society? TAC is looking for interpretations of the theme. We will offer live musical performances throughout the exhibition.

Guest Juror: Jonathan Plotkin is a nationally published editorial cartoonist, illustrator, educator and patron of the arts in all of its many forms. Jonathan has been a champion of the arts in the Chicago area, especially in his relationship with TAC.
