Marble House Project seeks applications for the 2018 Artist Residency Program.
Marble House Project is a multidisciplinary artist residency that fosters collaboration, sustainability, and community. Each year we host six three-week sessions and one two-week family friendly session for parent artists. Our aim is to provide space for artists and thinkers across all disciplines to work and live side by side. The various communal activities facilitate exchange and collaboration, and the private studios support the artist practice.
We value establishing a community of artists within the residency, and expanding it by inviting artists to share their work through our local public programs. We focus on sustainability by minimizing waste, conserving our natural resources, and integrating small-scale organic food production into our program. Artists-in-residence cook together and are encouraged to help in the garden. Alumni often sustain relationships developed here and find future collaborators among the artists in their session.
Cost: No program fee. The residency includes housing, food, and studio space.
