Sustain is looking for diverse programming to take place in conjunction with our November exhibition, That Feeling When featuring artist Alex Peyton-Levine.These events should address related ideas like: the body, ideas of beauty, femininity, and the relationship between power and vulnerability. The entire exhibit is available to interact with as a backdrop or interactive space for performance, conversation, and other forms of community engagement. Participating contributors may choose to incorporate a consideration/interaction with the work itself into the programming, but it is not required.
That Feeling When is a site-specific mixed-media installation that will incorporate a selection of plant, craft, and painting materials. The installation will be accompanied by a selection of mixed-media paintings. Ultimately, Alex aims to put forward artwork and an environment that encourage an examination and assertion of feminine power.
The exhibition opens Friday November 3rd and runs through Sunday December 3rd. We are hoping to schedule events for all weekends and some weekdays.
Sustain is not looking for free programming. Contributors/Organizers are paid via visitor donations, admission fees, or other monetary compensation if suitable.
