Call For Submissions- CHICAGOLAND SHORTS Vol. 4

CHICAGO, IL – Full Spectrum Features, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes diversity in independent filmmaking, is seeking submissions for their nationally touring shorts anthology, CHICAGOLAND SHORTS VOL. 4. This anthology celebrates the vastness and vitality of the new wave of Chicago independent cinema and provides an outlet for artistic voices that are often underrepresented in mainstream media culture.

Chicagoland Shorts Volumes 1 through 3 have screened across the metro Chicago area, including Facets Cinematheque, Gallery 400, Doc Films, Nightingale Cinema, the Chicago Public Library, and Comfort Station. All three collections have toured nationally, with screenings in Seattle, New York, Milwaukee, Detroit, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Tucson, and Portland. Chicagoland Shorts is also available on DVD and VOD.

Films must be directed by individuals residing in the greater Chicago area or have some other strong connection to Chicago. We define "Chicagoland" as the City of Chicago and its immediate suburbs, as well as any ex-burbs within a reasonable distance of Chicago. All genres accepted. We welcome all formats, from experimental films and video art to traditional narratives and docs.

The regular deadline is November 15, 2017, and the late deadline is December 15, 2017. Please submit digital copies of any films for consideration via our Film Freeway page, found here:
