Launched in 2010, the International PAINTING Annual (INPA) is a product of the non-profit Manifest Press, and a complementary project to the award-winning International Drawing Annual project (INDA) which was launched in 2005 and the award-winning International Photography Annual (INPHA) launched in 2012. The goal of the INPA is to support the recognition, documentation, and publication of excellent, current, and relevant works of painting from around the world. As a carefully crafted peer-juried book, the INPA enables Manifest to assemble a diverse array of works from around the world, without the limitation of physical availability, gallery space, or shipping logistics.
Works that challenge the common notion that painting must be made with 'paint' are also welcome.
First, Second, and Third Place awards for works of painting will be decided by the jury committee. Each award winner will have a brief artist's statement included in the publication. There will be three cash prizes of $1200, $500, and $300 for first, second, and third place winners.
NOTE: As this is a BOOK project, works that are not otherwise available (i.e. physically) may be submitted for consideration. All that is required of accepted artists is a print-quality hi-res digital image of accepted works. All artists selected for inclusion receive a complimentary copy of the finished book.
